Thomas Tuchel has made next move clear after reasons for Man Utd snub emerge

Thomas Tuchel, the former manager of Bayern Munich, has always been a fan of the Premier League and was strongly connected to the Manchester United position at the end of the last campaign.

Despite not being hired by Manchester United earlier this year, Thomas Tuchel, a German, has made no secret of his ambition to play in the Premier League once more.

After it was revealed in February of last year that the 51-year-old Tuchel will step down as head coach of Bayern Munich at the conclusion of the 2023–2024 season, he was immediately linked to many prominent positions.

Considering the strain Erik ten Hag was under at the close of the previous season, Manchester United was one of those roles. Moreover, Tuchel is single despite having met with Sir Jim Ratcliffe, the United manager.

Ten Hag’s contract was extended after an impressive victory over Manchester City in the FA Cup final the previous season, but the Dutchman is already under pressure after a lacklustre start to the current campaign. This has raised questions about Ten Hag’s future and prompted reports detailing the specifics of the talks between Ten Hag and United. Bild allege that Tuchel’s refusal to engage in additional negotiations was caused by the club’s transfer policy.

Even though it’s unclear if Old Trafford’s upper management would contact Tuchel once again if they decided to part ways with Ten Hag in the upcoming weeks, the player has already hinted that he may return to England.

In a May interview, Tuchel talked enthusiastically about his Champions League-winning season at Chelsea and expressed his desire to manage in the Premier League once more.He remarked, “I’d rather not answer but it is no secret that I loved it at Chelsea, I loved it in England,” in response to questions about his possible connections to Manchester United at the time.

“It was a very, very special time and I remember it very well, so yes, I loved it in the Premier League.”

For a moment, it appeared as though Tuchel and Bayern might break their summertime agreement, and discussions about perhaps prolonging their partnership were undertaken by both sides. However, those negotiations fell through, and former Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany was lured away from Burnley to take over as head coach of the German powerhouse.
