In today’s match between Arsenal and Manchester City, Chelsea veteran Didier Drogba makes a shocking prediction: “They’re not only going to lose today, they’ll be humiliated believe it or not.”
This weekend, Arsenal will take on Manchester City, a team that used to be a title challenger.
In recent seasons, the two teams have fought it out for the chance to win the Premier League title. Both times, City has gone on to win the trophy.
However, Arsenal will want to alter that this season, beginning with their trip to the Etihad Stadium this coming Saturday. After defeating Spurs in the North London derby the previous weekend, the Gunners drew their opening Champions League matchup with Atalanta.
David Raya, the goalkeeper, made headlines in Bergamo with a spectacular double save. View the most recent news from the Emirates Stadium here:
Shearer projects a draw.
Prior to the journey to the Etihad Stadium on Sunday, Alan Shearer made his prediction and believes it will be a competitive game. Arsenal would jump at the chance to visit the Etihad and earn a point, just like they did the previous season. Shearer informed Betfair, “They don’t have to go there and win.
“With their organization and the protection they receive from in-front, Arsenal’s back four is, in my opinion, the best in the Premier League. They are excellent defenders.
“I’m going for a draw in this one,” he continued. Even though Man City is playing at home, a draw for both sides isn’t a bad outcome because it’s been a difficult week for both teams, as they both participated in the Champions League.
Sterling issued a wretched alert
Raheem Sterling has been informed that his season-long involvement with Arsenal is only expected to be little. The former Liverpool player Mark Lawrenson stated to Paddy Power, “I don’t see Raheem Sterling breaking into the starting lineup at Arsenal; I think he will only be used for squad depth.”
“The manager probably already informed him that unless he performs well when given the opportunity, he’ll only play 25 minutes a week.
“I’ve been really impressed with Arsenal lately, and they know how important it is for them to play Manchester City this weekend. I have a feeling they’ll go to the Etihad and win all three points.”
On deadline day, Sterling left Chelsea to sign a season-long loan with Arsenal. He has played in two substitute games for the Gunners thus far.
Carragher highlights Saliba’s perspective.
William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes, in Jamie Carragher’s opinion, are quickly developing into one of the best defensive duos in Premier League history.
