The price of Arsenal’s summer target has decreased following another injury.

Last week, Pedro Neto experienced an injury scare that raised more uncertainty about his physical condition. However, the winger initially seemed to recover from the fear and started against Fulham on Saturday.

Unfortunately, Neto’s time on the field was cut short due to a hamstring injury that occurred after only 45 minutes.

On this occasion, it appeared to be more than a mere fright, as the player abruptly stopped and grabbed his leg in pain.

Previous reports indicated that Neto will be valued at £80 million this summer. However, it seems that this valuation is already decreasing. The Telegraph reported on Saturday that his cost is now expected to be more than £60 million.

The Telegraph reports that Manchester City and Liverpool have expressed interest, which raises additional uncertainty around a potential transfer to Arsenal.

According to a report by David Ornstein from The Athletic, Arsenal is interested in acquiring additional players to compete in the wide attacking positions this summer, with Neto being a potential target.

However, Ornstein stated that it is improbable for Arsenal to meet Wolves’ requested amount of £80m for a player with a questionable history of injuries.

Despite the decrease to £60m, it may still pose an excessive level of risk.
