Adam Idah revealed that he was only informed of Swansea City’s interest one day before Celtic’s game against Rangers. He has referred to the days that followed as a frenzy.
The Championship team paid £7 million for the Irish striker on deadline day, ending his time in Glasgow following a run of goals and trophies.
Supporters were irritated because Brendan Rodgers’ squad had little attacking alternatives due to the unavailability of his replacement.
Idah admitted that his first response to the move was to stay at Celtic and fight for his spot. But after talking with Swansea, he concluded that the chance offered a new beginning and the chance to make a substantial contribution to their project.
Idah claims that he was convinced that the transfer was the best move for his career after speaking with Swansea employees and Celtic officials.
He said, “It was outrageous” (RecordSport). To be honest, it was a bit of a hectic week, and I probably found out about it the day before the game. For me, it will be a fresh start. I have talked to the guys and the staff.

“My time at Celtic was fantastic.” I was reluctant to leave Celtic at first. I couldn’t wait to compete for my job. I wanted to be the best in that setting.
Nevertheless, Swansea has a remarkable project, and I know a number of their staff members. I’m excited to see how they evaluate my potential contributions to the team.
“After speaking with Celtic’s staff, it seemed appropriate.” I am looking forward to my trip to Swansea.
Idah’s remarks demonstrated how quickly the issue unfolded, and the transfer took place only before the transfer window closed. The scheduling put Celtic in a challenging situation because they couldn’t replace him in time.
Despite leaving, Idah stressed how much he loved Celtic and how valuable his time at Parkhead was. Rodgers scored 20 goals last season, several of them from the sidelines, which helped his club win titles.
Swansea is eager to boost its offensive skills, therefore he sees his appointment as a major coup. Idah will now try to use what he learnt in Glasgow in the Championship.
However, his departure is still part of Celtic’s summer window, which has caused fans to wonder about the board’s aspirations and the team’s depth.
