esurun Rak-Sakyi is expected to make a choice on his next destination in the January transfer window, with Celtic, Swansea City, Coventry City, and Stoke City all showing interest.
The Crystal Palace winger spent the first half of the 2025/26 season on loan with Turkish club Caykur Rizespor, following a loan spell with Sheffield United under Chris Wilder in 2024/25.
He scored four goals and assisted one in 13 games for the Turkish club, and both Coventry City and Swansea City expressed interest in the Crystal Palace winger early in the transfer window, amid speculation of a return to Selhurst Park.
Rak-Sakyi would be starting his third EFL loan away from Palace. He spent 2022/23 on loan at Charlton Athletic, where he scored 15 goals and assisted nine more in 49 games.
However, Stoke City has been pushing the hardest for Rak-Sakyi for some weeks. The wingers and wide forwards available to Mark Robins are the reason Stoke have been so active in pursuing a deal.
Stoke City won the race for Crystal Palace winger Jesurun Rak-Sakyi.

Robins’ starting wingers now include Sorba Thomas and Million Manhoef, with Jun-ho Bae and Lamine Cisse both capable of playing out wide. However, they had played a significant number of minutes, and depth was required.
Rak-Sakyi’s salary should not be an issue, as the 23-year-old last signed a five-year contract in 2022. The loan to another team is also only valid till the end of the current campaign.
The tale has taken unexpected turns, but Pete O’Rourke revealed two weeks ago that Rak-Sakyi prefers Stoke City. The play-off contenders have finished between first and tenth on every matchday this season, but they need a lift to get over the line.
Darren Witcoop has announced that they won the contest on deadline day. Stoke beat off other clubs, including Scottish heavyweights Celtic, to sign Rak-Sakyi.
In fact, Anthony Joseph of Sky Sports highlighted the tremendous number of interest. He claims there is no option or obligation to buy, yet Celtic, Monaco, Lille, Swansea City, and Millwall have all expressed interest in the winger during the transfer window.
Jesurun Rak-Sakyi is at a career crossroads, with Stoke City and Crystal Palace.

It could be bad news for Manhoef at Stoke, since Rak-Sakyi is a serious contender for a spot. The truth is, however, that depth was required, which bodes well for Robins heading into the last game.
Robins could play one of them on the left for Stoke, but neither is particularly well-suited to that position. This is because they are left-footed and prefer to cut inside to inflict damage on their opponents.

Given Wilder’s rotating position last season, Rak-Sakyi must make the most of this loan opportunity. Without consistent starts and goal involvement, the 23-year-old will not reach his full potential. On paper, this decision appears to benefit everyone.
