Spanish Media Drop Major Update Over Marcus Rashford’s Situation at Barcelona

A devastating new update regarding Marcus Rashford’s status at Barcelona has been released by the Spanish media. After several arguments with manager Ruben Amorim prompted him to leave Old Trafford this summer, the Manchester United outcast signed a loan deal with the Catalan giants just two months ago in the hopes of starting over.

Up until this year, the 27-year-old had played for United his whole career. He had been a boyhood supporter before enrolling in the academy, becoming one of the best youth graduates in the club’s history. He went on to make 426 appearances, scoring 138 goals and dishing out 78 assists.

However, United’s wilderness years were entwined with charges of laziness and attitude issues. Players who seemed disinterested in the task at hand had no place under Amorim. Furthermore, although Rashford’s brief loan originally raised hopes for a comeback and even led to his recall to the England team under Thomas Tuchel, worries are now growing in Barcelona as the club’s management starts to reconsider.

Barcelona is already thinking about cancelling Rashford’s loan.

At the temporary home of the La Liga champions from the previous season, Rashford seemed to be the centre of attention. He has consistently received accolades for his eagerness to take chances and test opposing defences, despite the fact that he hasn’t been scoring or helping.

However, the view is less flattering behind the scenes. After losing out on top targets Nico Williams and Luis Diaz, Barcelona was resolved to sign a winger with a lot of output. El Nacional, a Spanish source, claims that worries have already been raised. Sadly, the article said that Rashford was “shy, imprecise, and lost” and that he went “completely unnoticed” in games. According to reports, he is currently under pressure to get better soon or face being shipped back to Old Trafford.

In such case, Barcelona would have to compensate €5 million (£4.3 million) for not exercising the option to purchase at the end of the current campaign. Additionally, it is reported that Deco, the sporting director, and president Joan Laporta were never quite persuaded because they had previously tried to sign Williams and Diaz.

Manager Hansi Flick gambled on Rashford because he thought he could help the attacker find his best form after a number of unsuccessful seasons at United. However, only weeks into the move, his future is already in doubt once more, even if he is given time to establish himself.
