According to The Star, Sheffield Wednesday is interested in Timothy Fosu-Mensah while they wait for the EFL to approve any possible free agent additions.

Sheffield Wednesday’s team is in ruins following a terrible summer. Due to registration embargoes brought on by their financial difficulties, they were only able to sign Harry Amass and Ethan Horvath on loan.

However, SWFC has been attempting to obtain approval for some free agent additions by working with the EFL since administration and the dismissal of Dejphon Chansiri.

The Star now claims that Timothy Fosu-Mensah is one player on Sheffield Wednesday’s transfer radar.

They state that in the event that the EFL approves certain out-of-window acquisitions, Henrik Pedersen and the Owls have compiled a list of possible free agency targets. Additionally, Fosu-Mensah is one of the players SWFC has shortlisted, though there is still no sign of a final decision.

Fans of Sheffield Wednesday are probably familiar with Fosu-Mensah’s name. The Dutchman began his career in the Ajax system before joining Manchester United’s youth team in 2014.
