Sheffield United has been told to sanction the transfer of an out-of-favour player, and Rotherham United is interested.

Sheffield United could help Ryan Oné’s exit this month, with Rotherham United in South Yorkshire interested in loaning the striker.

Chris Wilder’s side is striving to reclaim the top half of the Championship table, while Oné has only made six second-tier appearances this season, all as substitutes, despite fierce competition at Bramall Lane.

The Blades have found a rich vein of form in recent weeks, winning three of their previous four games, including a 3-1 victory over Leicester City on New Year’s Day.

Sheffield United will also try to advance in the FA Cup with a potential third-round win against Mansfield Town at Bramall Lane this Sunday, which might be an opportunity for the Scottish kid to demonstrate his readiness for first-team football someplace.

Sheffield United asked to ease Ryan Oné’s loan exit amid Rotherham United interest.

Wilder has profited from the talents of fellow strikers Tyrese Campbell and Patrick Bamford, while Oné has struggled for playing time in the Championship this season.

Given that the 19-year-old hasn’t played much for the Blades this season and that the Millers are fighting to stay in League One, Rotherham is interested in taking Oné on loan.

Jimmy, a Sheffield United supporter on Football League World’s Blades Ramble YouTube channel, is talking about the teen’s possible loan move and thinks it would be a fantastic move for the Scotsman to make for the rest of the season.

“It makes total sense,” Jimmy said to FLW.

“Many of us United supporters have been yearning for it. Technically, he is now a fifth-choice striker. Cannon, Danny Ings, Bamford, and Tyrese Campbell.

“Therefore, he won’t receive the minutes required for his growth. He should go to League One, in my opinion. I believe Leyton Orient is also showing some interest in Rotherham. Aim to play 20 games and compete much more closely for a berth in the first team.

It’s thrilling to watch what Ryan Oné, who has a real ceiling and a high ceiling, could accomplish at the League One level. Finish it, and hopefully he returns from the offseason a better player. I truly support it.

Given that Rotherham United is considering a loan deal, Ryan Oné’s move might be ideal for everyone.

Oné is unlikely to see regular action at Bramall Lane between now and the conclusion of the season due to Sheffield United’s attacking depth, as Jimmy pointed out.

The striker is only 19 years old, therefore Wilder will be more interested in helping him grow than in keeping the Scotland Under-21 international in the starting lineup.

Additionally, the former Hamilton Academical player will be desperate for consistent playing time, something Rotherham is much better positioned to provide than his present team.

After 24 games, Matthew Hamshaw’s team is currently four points outside of third-tier safety, putting them in serious risk of being demoted to League Two.

Oné, who has played in a few Championship games this season, could motivate the Millers to survive in League One.
