If Manchester United wants to add a few players, they may run into problems with Manchester City, their longtime rival.

Despite the fact that Manchester has been relatively quiet throughout the Euros, both City and United are eager to bolster their teams.

Though they haven’t started yet this summer, there are rumours that the Red Devils are going to start playing in the market soon.

In addition to Matthijs de Ligt, a deal for Joshua Zirkzee is expected to be pursued from Bologna.

But it appears like United could have to overcome local rivals City in order to acquire a midfield player to bolster the ranks.

Following Manchester United’s proposal, Joao Neves is being considered by Manchester City. This weekend, reports suggested that United was trying to sign Benfica star Neves.

One of the most sought-after young players in Europe, the midfielder is reportedly the target of a £59 million bid from the Red Devils.

Man City is reportedly also considering a move for Neves, according to a report from the Portuguese publication O’Jogo.

Neves is reportedly on a list that City is considering if players like Bernardo Silva or Kevin de Bruyne decide to leave.

It appears likely that Benfica would reject United’s £59 million bid for Neves, since the Portuguese club is thought to value the player closer to £100 million.

Having previously signed players like Ruben Dias, Bernardo Silva, and Ederson, City naturally has good ties to the Portuguese market.

Neves may find moving to City more desirable than staying at United at this time.

The opportunity to work with Pep Guardiola, play in the Champions League, and be in contention for trophies are all alluring aspects.

Therefore, in order for United to complete their own deal, they will be hoping that City backs off from Neves.

Ronald Koeman believes he would prefer to see Spain play in the Euro 2024 final rather than France with his Netherlands team.

In their quarterfinal match on Saturday night, the Netherlands overcame a late deficit to defeat Turkey 2-1. This resulted in a semi-final match against England on Wednesday at 8 p.m.

To determine who advances to the final on July 14, Spain and France will meet in the second Euro 2024 semifinal on Tuesday night.

In light of the Netherlands’ 0-0 draw with France in their Group D opener on June 21, Koeman concedes that, should his team get past England to the semifinals, he would much rather play Spain in the championship game.

Following the Netherlands’ victory over Turkey, Koeman remarked, “I think it’s something special for the whole nation.”

We, a small country, are incredibly honoured to get the chance to compete in the semi-final on Wednesday among England, France, and Spain.

“We suffered tonight [against Turkey], but that is the reality of the entire Euro; there is no easy one.”

“In order to win the semi-final, we must fight first.”

It’s not a question in life, in my opinion, when something good happens. Wednesday night’s match between these two powerful nations will be amazing in terms of history.

Spain is obviously my personal choice if we play in the final because we had France in the group.
