In his first season in Italy, Scott McTominay is making a lot of money as the Serie A winner and league MVP.
The former Manchester United midfielder’s move to Napoli, which cost the Red Devils an estimated £25.7 million, put an end to a 22-year relationship with his boyhood team.
After the team finished in tenth place, outside the European spots for the season after winning their third Scudetto, McTominay joined Antonio Conte in Naples.
With Romelu Lukaku and the 28-year-old Lancastrian in the forefront, Napoli won their fourth league championship in 2024–25.
With 12 Serie A goals and four assists at the end of the season, the Scotland international was well-liked by his colleagues, the Italian sports media, and Napoli’s renownedly ardent supporters.

Though United’s other first team regulars make more money, he still makes more than Diogo Dalot, Rasmus Hojlund, Alejandro Garnacho, and Kobbie Mainoo.
According to reports, Casemiro, the best paid player for the Red Devils, makes £18.2 million annually, four times as much as McTominay.
On a night when synchronised fixtures pitted the Partenopei in Naples against runners-up Inter Milan in Como, McTominay’s 12th goal of the season against Cagliari placed Napoli in control.
In addition to earning a larger weekly salary in Italy, McTominay’s first league championship was the Serie A Championship.
Last year, the Daily Star reported that he was paid £60,000 a week under his former United contract.
He will never forget the thunderous applause he received when he was presented to the Diego Maradona audience just before Napoli was ready to raise the trophy after midnight.
