Scott McTominay makes list of top 10 highest-paid British players abroad as Napoli wages ‘leaked’

It would appear that Scott McTominay is having the time of his life in Italy, and in addition to that, he is taking care of his financial interests.

During the summer of 2017, McTominay, a graduate of Manchester United, moved to Napoli from Old Trafford. His debut season in Serie A has been a revelation for everyone who did not consider him to be a top-tier midfielder.

They are now in second position in Italy’s first flight, three points behind the leaders and defending champions Inter Milan. Napoli are currently in second place.

Following their tenth-place finish in the previous season, the Partenopei made the decision to hire Antonio Conte as their manager and began a personnel revamp, which has resulted in the intended impact in the 2024-25 season.

Their major summer acquisitions included McTominay, Romelu Lukaku, who was a former teammate of McTominay’s at Manchester United, and David Neres, a Brazilian winger who was acquired from Benfica.

Additionally, Billy Gilmour and Leonardo Spinazzola were brought in, while Noah Okafor, a striker for AC Milan, participated in the transfer.

These kinds of enhancements to a finish that is medium-table cost a lot of money.

McTominay, who has already scored eight goals in Serie A as his club continues to pursue the Scudetto, has emerged as an essential member of the Napoli team, earning him the title of “the warrior soul of Napoli” from Gazzetta dello Sport.

It is believed that the Scotland international qualifies as one of the top 10 highest-paid British players outside of the country. Additionally, the player represents a big investment.

According to estimations provided by Capology, the swashbuckling Lancastrian midfielder who just joined Napoli is apparently receiving a salary of €106,000 from his new club. This is equivalent to an annual income of almost €5.5 million, which is sufficient to make him the joint-fifth highest-paid British player outside of the country.

There is a player that is comparable to McTominay in terms of his anticipated weekly income, and that player is Deli Alli, who also plays in Italy for Cesc Fabregas and Como.

As far as international football eligibility is concerned, McTominay is the only non-English British player to make it into the top 10, while five of the top ten players are now playing for Italian clubs.

With an estimated weekly income of €110,000, Tammy Abraham, who is currently on loan from Roma and playing for AC Milan, is the highest-paid British player in Serie A and the fourth-highest British player overall in the English Premier League.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who is also a member of the club, and Kyle Walker, who is now on loan from Manchester City, round up the Italian players. According to reports, Loftus-Cheek brings home an estimated 98,000 euros per week, while Milan is said to be covering 89,000 euros per week as a proportion of Walker’s regular pay.

In other news, Marseille is paying Mason Greenwood a total of €104,000, while Bayern Munich is giving Eric Dier a compensation of €96,000.

Jude Bellingham and Harry Kane are the second and third highest-ranked British players in the international competition.

It is reported that Bellingham earns a weekly compensation of €400,000 at Real Madrid, whilst the England captain’s weekly wage at Bayern is €480,000, which is equivalent to an annual salary of roughly €25 million according to those estimates.

There is no getting around the fact that the highest-paid English player playing overseas is now competing in the Saudi Pro League.

Ivan Toney, a former striker for the Premier League, is currently playing for Al-Ahli in Jeddah, where he is reportedly getting a cool estimated weekly income of €490,000 for the privilege of playing for the club.

Good work, if you are able to acquire it.
