Saturday Morning Deal: Arsenal finally won the transfer race against City and London Rivals to the signing of a South American superstar who is worth £70 million. The player is expected to come soon for a medical examination, and an announcement is expected to be made within the next few minutes. Congratulations to Arsenal fans!

According to Japanese journalist Marco Molla, Arsenal are mulling over the possibility of acquiring the services of Real Sociedad forward Takefusa Kubo before to the conclusion of the transfer season in January.

Molla, who is followed by John McGarry, a journalist for the Scottish Daily Mail, and who has been used as a source in The National, made a claim on social media platform X (which was formerly known as Twitter) this evening that the Japanese international is already aware of the interest from the Gunners and is open to moving to the Premier League in the future.

As a result of a long-term injury sustained by Bukayo Saka, Arsenal is looking to strengthen their attacking ranks for the second part of the 2024-25 season, and Kubo is a good candidate for this purpose.

Xavi Hernandez, a former manager of Barcelona, previously referred to the 23-year-old striker as “world-class” and “top level.” The North Londoners could benefit from having a forward of such high caliber inside their ranks.

The versatility of this player makes him an ideal candidate for Arsenal to acquire, as he has already made 23 appearances in both the La Liga and the Europa League this season, scoring four goals and providing two assists.

Since the beginning of the 2024–25 season, Kubo has demonstrated his versatility by playing in all three positions: on both sides, through the middle, and behind a striker.

During the previous season, the top player for Sociedad contributed seven goals and four assists in a total of thirty league games. By the end of the 2022-23 season, he had nine league goals and seven assists.

It is possible that he will show to be an improvement over some of the attacking options that Arsenal currently possesses; but, acquiring him during the season may prove to be challenging.

Although the Gunners have a strong working connection with the La Liga club, there have been rumors that they are interested in Roberto Olabe, the club’s director of football. This is because the Gunners are looking to replace Edu, who will be leaving his position as sports director at the conclusion of the season.

However, it is possible that these considerations will not be sufficient to acquire Kubo before the end of the month. In order for Arsenal to have a serious chance of acquiring their player, it is possible that they will need to wait until the end of the campaign.
