Ruud van Nistelrooy makes Ruben Amorim feelings clear after Erik ten Hag axe

Ruud van Nistelrooy has reaffirmed his intention to remain at Manchester United under the leadership of new manager Ruben Amorim and facilitate the club’s return to the top tier.

Following Erik ten Hag’s dismissal on Monday, Van Nistelrooy served as interim manager of United. His brief tenure was inaugurated by a 5-2 victory over Leicester in the Carabao Cup at Old Trafford on Wednesday.

The former United striker is expected to assume responsibility for the Premier League match against Chelsea at Old Trafford on Sunday. However, his future is uncertain in anticipation of Amorim’s arrival from Sporting Lisbon.

However, Van Nistelrooy expressed his desire to remain at United and assist the club in any way possible under Amorim when speaking prior to the Chelsea match. The 48-year-old is currently under contract for the current season and the following season.

Van Nistelrooy stated, “I have chosen to return to this location for a very significant reason: I am here.” “I joined the club as an assistant in order to assist in its advancement, and I remain enthusiastic about providing assistance in any capacity.”

I am extremely motivated to remain at the club and contribute to the club’s progress, which is my unwavering objective. I am returning to my assistant contract for the current and upcoming seasons.

“We will see, but I am currently in a contractual situation and my objective is to assist the club in moving forward.” I am capable of discussing my perspective, and it is imperative that we observe the progression of events as a new manager is appointed and discussions ensue.

“The interim position will be brief; this was explicitly stated.” I was content with that; I felt that I was required to assist the club in advancing in this situation.

“It was challenging for Erik to depart; you have very conflicting emotions. However, the mindset must shift quickly, as there are 75,000 fans anticipating your arrival. This is precisely what we endeavored to accomplish against Leicester and will continue to do so on Sunday. The outcome will be determined at that point.”

“I am eager to assist and, like many others in this club, I am committed to doing everything in my power to advocate for this organization.” The institution is currently facing a challenging situation; however, I am present to address it. All eyes are on Manchester United and its current circumstances; however, those of us on the ground are exerting themselves to the fullest, with the enthusiastic backing of the supporters.

Van Nistelrooy, who was appointed to United’s coaching staff by Ten Hag in the summer, stated that his compatriot’s employment was ultimately terminated due to the results.

Van Nistelrooy stated, “Ultimately, the results are what matter in football, as Erik also stated.”

“During the preseason, we were optimistic and diligent in our efforts to advance. However, there are certain circumstances that are beyond our control.”

“I am contemplating the possibility of preparing the team for Leicester, which we did. It was a unique situation that we were in. Our objective was to achieve a positive outcome against Leicester, build, evaluate the game, and concentrate on the upcoming match against Chelsea on Sunday. In the short term, I am only concerned with the upcoming game against Chelsea.

“I believe that the most critical aspect is to extract the maximum potential from these players.” It is an excellent opportunity to demonstrate that we are capable of reaching that level, as well as in all of the other games we will play until the end of May, given the current state of the club. Everyone is of the opinion that we must perform better than we are currently doing.

Van Nistelrooy disclosed that he conferred with his former supervisor, Sir Alex Ferguson, prior to his inaugural match as manager. “I conversed with him briefly about my circumstances, the team, and, most importantly, he wished me luck prior to the game,” Van Nistelrooy stated.
