Many ludicrous claims have been made about Celtic’s anxiety over Steven Gerrard’s possible return to Rangers.
The Gerrard hubbub stems from the one title he won in 2021, which he utilised to stop Celtic from winning ten straight games.
During the COVID-19 season, Celtic and Rangers encountered an anomaly when the Parkhead club fell apart and Gerrard’s squad learnt they could win a championship without any fans at Ibrox or any other Scottish stadium.
And Peter Grant skilfully silences the Gerrard clamour as the former Liverpool player looks set to make a comeback to Ibrox to play Celtic again.

Paul Cooney reassured the Celtic icon that Gerrard’s homecoming would not make the Hoops run away in terror as Grant was talking about Gerrard’s impending move to Rangers.
“But Celtic’s consequences are uncertain,” Cooney said on The Go Radio Football Show [56m 31s]. Additionally, I heard you remark in the first hour that if it’s Steven Gerrard, they won’t be shaking in their boots.
“No, because why would you?” Grant said.
“They won’t be,” said Cooney.
Grant’s response: “Ultimately, you will be participating in football.” I’ve never been concerned. Throughout my playing career, I was unable to identify the Rangers’ management.
Cooney: “I suspect you could have.”
He responded: “However, I was not being disrespectful.” I was not asking about its identity. The main focus was on… Remember the arrival of the Sooners and all that? We were aware that they had several great performers.
“Ultimately, we are aware that we must demonstrate our abilities in order to surpass them.” We were aware of it.
“There was no escape from that at that particular moment.” Needless to say, Celtic has clearly witnessed the issue. You are misleading yourself if you claim the situation is completely different.
“However, Celtic’s players are of high quality.”
Tom English refuses to believe the insanity of Gerrard/Celtic.
Rangers fans have been praising Gerrard for several days, while Celtic fans have been completely unaware that they were calling for his head when Hamilton defeated them 1-0 at Ibrox prior to the COVID-19 shutdown.
That truth is not lost on BBC correspondent Tom English, who reminded Ibrox fans, “They have a memory of him winning the league, and it was a very impressive league.” But Celtic was going through its own existential crisis under Neil Lennon, and there were no fans in attendance.
“And the Rangers dominated the league, winning every game and then cruising to the finish line.” That’s what they recollect.
