Ruben Amorim Shares if Ayden Heaven Will Play for Man Utd Again This Season

With defender Ayden Heaven being carted off against Leicester City prior to the international break, Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has provided an encouraging update on the player’s condition, saying that the former Arsenal star’s absence “isn’t serious.”

Heaven joined from the Gunners towards the close of the January transfer window, but he was thrown into their backline to play a few games at the beginning of March after Lisandro Martinez suffered an ACL injury and other veteran defenders were sidelined.

In some rare, good injury news for the team, Amorim said the young player will play again this season ahead of United’s trip to Nottingham Forest on Tuesday. However, his injury against the Foxes appeared to be particularly serious, as he was carried off shortly after halftime. He stated:

“Ayden Heaven’s wound is not too severe. Although he is not yet ready, he will undoubtedly play again this season.

for no more chances, Heaven decided to sign for the Red Devils during the winter transfer window. Heaven had only made a 10-minute appearance for Arsenal in the League Cup earlier this season, playing late against Preston North End as the Gunners defeated them 3-0 at Deepdale.

He was added to the squad to play Arsenal in the Premier League after making his debut against Real Sociedad in the Europa League. He was initially used against Fulham in the FA Cup at the beginning of the month, and he impressed as the team lost on penalties. He was picked for the match against Leicester after a perfect performance, however his season was cut short on just his fourth appearance of the year.

According to Amorim, the young player has impressed him and, after settling into the starting lineup with ease, might play a regular role in the squad after he recovers from his injury.

The team’s more experienced possibilities are Matthijs de Ligt, Harry Maguire, Jonny Evans, and Victor Lindelof; however, as the latter two have contracts expiring in the summer, Heaven might save Amorim money on transfers by blending in as a reliable squad option.
