“Ruben Amorim must change his formation to unleach tjis guy’s potential”: Crystal Palace coach says Man United has a potential Ballon D’or winner but Amorim’s system isn’t helping him

As a result of their Premier League loss to Crystal Palace by a score of 2-0, Manchester United players were evaluated.

During the Premier League match that took place on Sunday afternoon, Manchester United’s tactical experiment was unsuccessful, as they were defeated by Crystal Palace by a score of 2-0. As part of the six substitutions that Ruben Amorim made to his team, Alejandro Garnacho and Amad Diallo were among the players who were brought into the starting lineup. Additionally, Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee were placed on the bench, and Kobbie Mainoo was given the opportunity to play a new position as a false nine.

A warning was issued at the opposite end of the field when Daniel Muñoz headed wide at the back-post for Palace. United started off strong and came close to taking an early lead when Mainoo hit an effort against the post. However, Palace’s warning came shortly after. The visitors began to take control of the game and came close to scoring once more through a shot from Tyrick Mitchell. However, they were unable to capitalise on the best opportunity of the first half when Jean-Philippe Mateta chipped an effort that went just in front of the post.

It was a very open beginning to the second half, as United came close to scoring when Bruno Fernandes forced Dean Henderson to make a fantastic save with an effort from the edge of the box, and Manuel Ugarte forced another save with a volley from a free kick. Although Palace was always a threat, they were finally able to break the tie when Mateta scored from close range after a header by Maxence Lacroix had resulted in the ball hitting the crossbar.

In the English Premier League, Bournemouth made history by becoming the first team to ever defeat the reigning champion to be Manchester City.

Defendant Lisandro Martinez went down in agony and was forced off the pitch with what appeared to be another serious knee injury. Things went from bad to worse after that. Munoz beat the offside trap and squared the ball to Mateta for a tap-in goal, which resulted in United falling behind by two goals. United attempted to play catch-up, but they were unsuccessful.

Liandro Martinez sustained an injury

Lisandro Martinez, the centre back for Manchester United, was taken off the field and given a stretch during the latter stages of his team’s Premier League match against Crystal Palace at Old Trafford.

Martinez was involved in a race with Palace forward Ismaila Sarr down the left side of the field. He then fell awkwardly and appeared to jar his knee, and he was subsequently required to be carried off the field by a stretcher.

The Argentina international appeared to be in a great deal of discomfort, and the initial speculation is that the defender may have suffered a serious knee injury, which could potentially put an end to his season.

Beginning in September 2023 and continuing through January 2024, Martinez was sidelined due to a serious foot injury. Subsequently, he was sidelined for nearly two months later in the same season due to a knee difficulty.

Ruben Amorim, the head coach of the Red Devils, will also be questioned about the situation during his post-match press conference following the match against Palace. The 27-year-old player will now be evaluated before a statement is made.

After a period of treatment on the field, Matthijs de Ligt was ultimately brought in to take Martinez’s place as the starting quarterback.
