Ruben Amorim makes huge Benjamin Sesko admission ahead of Fulham game

Ruben Amorim believes Benjamin Sesko has a promising future at Manchester United.

Ruben Amorim has explained why he needs to be ‘careful’ with Manchester United’s new signing Benjamin Sesko after making a major revelation.

Manchester United faced stiff competition from Newcastle United to capture Sesko this summer.

He signed from RB Leipzig for a record £73.7 million.

The Slovenian made his Manchester United debut last weekend, losing 1-0 to Arsenal in the Premier League opener.

He failed to make an impression up front despite coming on as a second-half substitution.

However, Amorim is optimistic about Sesko’s potential and feels he is ‘even better’ than previously assumed.

“I like to know the players, I like to see the videos of the players and to try to get all the information, but you want that confirmation, and I felt Sesko was even better than what I was thinking,” said Amorim to Sky Sports.

Amorim believes Sesko will be Manchester United’s No.9 for’many, many years’ and explains why he will need to be ‘careful’ with the 22-year-old.

“I have to be careful, Sesko is going to be our striker for many, many years so we need to put that in his head and let him settle down, to stay calm and enjoy his day because he’s really like you said, obsessed,” he told reporters.

“I’m really happy – not just with him but with Cunha, Diego, and Mbeumo – we know that we have the players and we know that in our future we are going to have that base and that is really important for us.”

Gary Neville discusses what he likes about Benjamin Sesko.
Sesko joins Man United after scoring 21 goals in 45 outings across all competitions for Leipzig previous season.

If he plays against Fulham on Sunday, he will be hoping to get his first goal for his new team.

Speaking ahead of Manchester United’s second league game of the season, Gary Neville explained what he admires most about the towering forward.

“What I like about him, when you look at his goals, he does score all different types of goals, to be fair to him,” he remarked on Sky Bet’s Stick to Football show. “He can head it, you know, he’s a 6-foot-5, you know what I mean?”
