Ronaldo Nazario snubbed Cristiano Ronaldo when naming top five favourite players including Premier League star

In his contribution to the debate over who is the greatest of all time, Ronaldo Nazario listed the top five players that he enjoys watching.

In his list of the top five players that he enjoys watching, the legendary Brazilian footballer Ronaldo praised Lionel Messi as the “number one” player and omitted Cristiano Ronaldo from the list.

Both with his club and for his country, Messi has had a memorable and successful career. Together with Barcelona, he has won four Champions League titles, and he was the driving force behind Argentina’s World Cup victory in 2022.

The world will not see another player who is comparable to Messi for “twenty or thirty years,” according to Ronaldo, who made this statement.

“Messi, of course, he is number one, it is a talent that we will take twenty or thirty years to see something similar,” he said in an interview with AS in the year 2020.

Aside from Messi, Ronaldo enjoys watching other players, such as Mohamed Salah, Eden Hazard, Neymar, and Kylian Mbappe, who represents Liverpool.

“I also like Salah, Hazard, Neymar, that I love watching him play, of course Mbappe,” he stated in addition.

While Neymar and Mbappe were playing for Paris Saint-Germain at the time, Hazard was playing for Real Madrid after he had successfully completed his transfer from Chelsea.

In addition, Salah was achieving remarkable feats for Liverpool, the club he continues to play for.

The comparisons that have been made between Ronaldo and Kylian Mbappe have also been addressed by Ronaldo, who has stated that it is difficult to compare players from different parts of history.

“It says a lot of people who look like me, has a lot of speed, finishes well, has great movements, hits excellent with both legs, has an incredible stride,” he explained to reporters.

“We have similar things, but I never liked comparisons, especially between players of different generations, because the situations are different.”

Following his time with the Spanish giants, Mbappe has since moved to Real Madrid, where he now wears the same number (9) as Ronaldo did during his time there.

In addition, the Frenchman is having a very successful first season in Spain, as he has already scored an impressive thirty goals across all competitions.

Taking into consideration that Ronaldo’s best season in terms of goal scoring at Real was the 2003–2004 campaign, this is an impressive accomplishment.
