Rodri left in tears during Arsenal clash as Pep Guardiola’s Man City gamble backfires

Mateo Kovacic replaced Manchester City midfielder Rodri during the first half of the Premier League match against Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium.

Rodri, the hero of Manchester City, was compelled to leave the field during the first half of the match against Arsenal due to an injury.

Thomas Partey’s challenge resulted in the Euro 2024 winner falling to the ground, grasping his quadriceps and in tears. After sustaining an injury after 16 minutes, the midfielder was unable to continue in his first Premier League start of the season.

Mateo Kovacic replaced Rodri, and Arsenal equalized within one minute of the substitution with an impressive strike from Riccardo Calafiori. Erling Haaland had previously assigned City the lead.
