Despite winning numerous big awards during his four years at Manchester City, Dani Carvajal, a defender for Real Madrid, wants to see Rodri move to the Bernabeu.

Dani Carvajal of Real Madrid has been attempting to win Rodri over to Real Madrid by using charm tactics.

The Spanish defender has not held back when it comes to expressing his wish for the defensive midfielder to join him at the La Liga powerhouses, claiming that he begs the player “every day” to leave the Premier League winners.

Sunday night’s Euro 2024 final between Spain and England will feature Rodri and Carvajal, two key players for Pep Guardiola.

The seasoned Madrid player Carvajal has been jokingly advising Rodri to move from Manchester to the sunny city of Madrid, which is home to the reigning Champions League winners.

Carvajal stated, via the Manchester Evening News, in an interview with the Spanish journal Tiempo de Juego: “I tell Rodri every day to sign for Real Madrid.”

“I tell him every day to leave Manchester, that there is no sun there and to come to Madrid that we need him.”

Rodri has admitted that he is still committed to his current team despite Carvajal’s constant prodding, saying, “He tells me he has a contract… but he would be perfect for us.”

Guardiola and his time at Manchester City have been lauded by Rodri himself in the past, as he stated: “People like Pep are special because of their hunger.”

To be honest, until you arrive here, you have no idea what to expect. However, I believe that Manchester United, the Premier League, is something unique. The manner in which you guys view football.

“Life is really demanding here in England. The fans are constantly packed, the competition is fierce, and they always want the best of you. They adore their teams and want them to succeed, which makes this unique.”
