With Rob Edwards replacing Vitor Pereira, Wolves are prepared for a new era.
Wolves made the inevitable choice to fire Vitor Pereira the day following the team’s 3-0 loss to Fulham.

With no identity and no clear direction for the team, Pereira’s job became untenable. He experimented with numerous player combinations and formations, but nothing stuck.
Rob Edwards will take his place as he had to leave.
There has been some controversy surrounding Edwards’ transfer to Wolves.
In order to get Edwards to leave Middlesbrough, Wolves had to pay compensation totaling over £2 million.
Wolves’ acquisition of Edwards has infuriated Boro supporters, but they are not the only ones.
Rob Edwards is criticized by Simon Jordan over the Wolves’ action.

He downplayed the conversation twice in public last week, but Boro’s rejection of him for their match against Birmingham over the weekend led to a breakthrough.
Edwards’ departure from Boro has already drawn criticism from a number of people.
To the astonishment of almost no Wolves supporters, Simon Jordan has now voiced his displeasure, echoing Alan Shearer’s statement that Edwards’ departure was extremely cruel on Boro.
On talkSPORT, he stated: “They would have been let down.” They wouldn’t have been shocked if Wolves had approached their manager.
What they would have wanted is for their manager to have done exactly what he did during his news conference—basically, he would have distanced himself from that opportunity—and reminded himself that he was doing a fantastic job. Naturally, his next action was the unusual one that most managers take: “But I’d like to go and have a chat with them.”
“Where do you proceed from there after saying that?
“I believe that the wolves are falling freely. They don’t have a team that will keep them in the Premier League, in my opinion. In my opinion, they lack a culture that is driven to provide managers with the kind of on-field assistance they require.
Because they have to meet different goals than maybe Fosun’s initial motivation and their ownership model, all of their greatest players are being sold one after another. I hope he receives the justice he is due. I hope that when Wolves are demoted, he goes down with them and faces the consequences.
Jordan continued by saying that as Edwards had only been in Boro for a relatively brief period of time, he had not “earned the right” to leave.
It seems excessive for Jordan to criticize Edwards.
It seems sense that Edwards is being criticized for his choice to join Wolves after leaving Middlesbrough.
Nonetheless, Jordan’s remarks are a tad excessive.
Jordan was always going to be skeptical of this result because he had warned Edwards not to travel to Wolves last week.
He doesn’t realize, though, that this is a significant chance for Edwards’ managing career.

Yes, he has been with Boro for a few months. His remarks about how everyone at Boro is like family have amazed and left supporters swooning.
However, Edwards has probably been waiting a while to be considered for the position of head coach of Wolves’ first team, and he will surely receive a lot more money.
Of fact, wolves are currently having a lot of problems. However, it is still a major Premier League team with plenty of points up for grabs, and Edwards clearly feels a connection to it.
It’s a little awkward that Jordan would also hope Wolves are relegated because of this.
