Richard Keys drags Jurgen Klopp into bonkers plea for Gareth Southgate to be sacked mid-Euro 2024

In an attempt to force Jurgen Klopp to retract his insane outburst, Richard Keys has dragged England to fire Gareth Southgate ahead of their Sunday round-of-16 match against Euro 2024.

With an undefeated record, the Three Lions advanced to the tournament’s knockout rounds, but as a result of their struggles in Germany, Southgate has come under growing criticism.

After a lacklustre 1-0 victory against Serbia, the team played to dreadful draws with Slovenia and Denmark. However, other outcomes in Group C made sure that England finished first and earned a spot on the “kinder” side of the knockout draw.

The Three Lions are currently scheduled to play the Netherlands in their last 16 match, and disgraced former Sky Sports host Keys wants Southgate fired before the match on Sunday.

When asked whether he would fire Southgate by Netherlands great Ruud Gullit on beIN Sports, he responded, “I’m so depressed, I thought that was so miserable once again tonight.” “We seem to be heading nowhere very quickly, so if I could make that decision right now, I definitely would.

“We intend to prevail here. That’s not how you win the next game, much less this tournament, based on what I’ve seen tonight.”

Keys dragged former Reds manager Klopp into his wild shout as to who he wants to replace the England manager for the remainder of the tournament when former Liverpool star Luis Garcia asked who we would turn to instead. The Spaniard, Gullit, and fellow pundits Grey and Jason McAteer laughed at his actual suggestion.

“This evening, Harry Redknapp is in Dubai; please give him a ring. Harry, you think he’d be on a plane tomorrow morning? [Jurgen] Klopp won’t do it. Yes, he would.

Keys seems to be suggesting that he would have preferred Klopp to take Southgate’s position as England’s manager by bringing up the German. However, Keys is aware that the former Liverpool manager is taking a break from football after leaving the Reds at the end of the season and has no intention of managing again for at least a year.

It is a daring move to want Southgate fired mid-tournament, even if it worked for Ivory Coast in this year’s Africa Cup of Nations. However, calling for Southgate to be removed is not necessarily a wild cry, especially since his future was questionable beyond the tournament anyhow.

But suggesting that Redknapp take Southgate’s place is especially ridiculous considering that the 77-year-old has basically stepped down from management after Birmingham City fired him following his disastrous season with the then-championship team in 2017.

He had managed the Jordan national team for a short time before coming to St. Andrew’s; this would be his only experience managing internationally in a 34-year career.

While still in command of Tottenham Hotspur in 2012, Redknapp publicly believed he was going to be named England manager. He last managed in the Premier League with Queen’s Park Rangers in 2015. But Roy Hodgson, the former manager of Liverpool, beat him out.
