Following the FIFA Club World Cup defeat, the player in question will now move on to fresh opportunities.
After playing for the Spanish powerhouses in their defeat by Paris Saint-Germain, a prominent Real Madrid player will now depart the team to join his new one.
During the summer, Xabi Alonso’s team participated in the FIFA Club World Cup in the United States and advanced to the semi-finals, where they met PSG, the recent European winners.
But the 2024 Champions League winners lost badly to the 2025 champions, who defeated the Parc des Princes team 4-0.
Within twenty-four minutes, PSG had startled Alonso’s team with three goals from a brace from Fabian Ruiz and an effort from Ousmane Dembele. Goncalo Ramos added another goal as full-time arrived, humiliating Los Blancos.
The Spanish powerhouses’ focus will now go to the forthcoming La Liga season and winning the championship again from rivals Barcelona.
In the second half, Alonso made a number of substitutions, including Eder Militao for Raul Asencio, Dani Carvajal for Gonzalo Garcia, and Braham Diaz for Vinicius Jr.
Additionally, Luka Modric, the 2018 Ballon d’Or winner, replaced England midfielder Jude Bellingham.
The seasoned Croatian midfielder moved from Tottenham Hotspur to the Santiago Bernabeu in 2012 for an estimated £30 million.
And after taking home numerous awards, he has gone on to become a legend for Real Madrid.

In nearly 600 games for Los Blancos, Modric has scored 43 goals throughout all competitions.
He has won six Champions Leagues, five UEFA Super Cups, five FIFA Club World Cups, two Copa del Reys, five Supercopa de Espana trophies, and four La Liga titles.
But after the defeat to PSG, it was already certain that Modric would leave the Spanish powerhouses following the conclusion of their Club World Cup campaign.
In a May interview, Modric discussed his departure, saying: “I came in 2012 hoping to play for the world’s top team and wanting to achieve great things, but I had no idea what was ahead.
“As a football player and a person, playing for Real Madrid transformed my life.
“I’m proud to have been part of one of the most successful eras of the best club in history.”
He will now join AC Milan, one of the biggest teams in Italy, in Serie A.
Modric will join the team next month, according to new manager Massimiliano Allegri, who has already confirmed his return to the San Siro team for a second stint in charge.
“Modric will arrive in August,” he stated. He is a really talented player.
