Real Madrid staff have advised Xabi Alonso against using three players at Club World Cup

According to a recent rumour, Real Madrid’s medical department received a report from club emissaries advising Xabi Alonso not to use three players at this summer’s Club World Club.

Los Blancos struggled to a 1-1 draw against Saudi Pro League team Al Hilal on Wednesday, missing many key players.

After it was discovered that Kylian Mbappe had an acute case of gastroenteritis, he was sent to the hospital for additional testing and treatment; Eder Militao, David Alaba, and Dani Carvajal were all left out.

All three players—Militao, Alaba, and Carvajal—may really be utilised sparingly, if at all, in the 32-team tournament’s forthcoming matches, according to a report that has surfaced.

A year after Vinicius Jr. condemned the quality of the pitches at the Copa America, Spanish daily Marca claims Madrid “did not hestitate” when sending ambassadors to the United States to assess the condition of the pitches.

The injuries Madrid sustained on earlier North American trips are still fresh in the mind, in addition to Vinicius’ worries.

In light of those worries, representatives prepared an in-depth analysis of the pitches and gave it to the club’s medical experts, who have recommended that Alonso and his group refrain from utilising players who have sustained cruciate ligament injuries.

“It is a recommendation that does not mean that the players who find themselves in this situation (Militao, Alaba and Carvajal) will not play a single minute,” the article continued. “This will be a decision to be made between the feelings of the players, the vision of the doctors and Xabi Alonso”

On the other hand, Trent Alexander-Arnold might make his second appearance for Madrid on Sunday when they play C.F. Pachuca of Mexico.

The former Liverpool defender made his Los Blancos debut against Al Hilal, but after a difficult game in the intense Miami heat, he was understandably upset with the outcome.

He told reporters, “I’m really happy to have made my debut, and it’s a very proud moment for me.” “It’s something that I think most, if not all, players dream of at some point in their life, I’m incredibly proud of the achievement.”

“Of course, there’s some disappointment I think,” he said. “The mentality that comes with being a Madrid player is wanting and expecting to win every single game.”

Before facing Austrian powerhouse RB Salzburg to wrap out their group stage campaign, Madrid will play C.F. Pachuca on June 22.
