Real Madrid plot January transfer move for Chelsea starlet who has ‘personality’

According to rumors, Real Madrid is reportedly planning to make a bid for Chelsea prodigy Josh Acheampong during the transfer season that will take place in January.

It has been previously said by Enzo Maresca, the head coach of Chelsea, that the 18-year-old player is a teenager who has “showed personality” and “showed bravery.” Maresca is a major supporter of the player.

In spite of the fact that Acheampong signed his first professional deal with Chelsea this year, the Blues may be on the verge of losing him. Acheampong joined Chelsea’s academy when he was an Under-8 player.

This is due to the fact that Real Madrid, a dominant club in Spain, is contemplating making a bid for the English adolescent. Real Madrid sees him as a potential right-back option for the near term and a future superstar.

There has been a long-standing interest in Acheampong on the part of Madrid, as reported by The Independent, and this interest has only grown as a result of the present injury problem that the team is experiencing.

Joan Martinez, who was serving as a backup center back, has been declared out for the season due to an injury to her anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), while Dani Carvajal has sustained a major knee injury.

As a result, Acheampong, who is capable of playing either right back or center back, has the potential to be immediately incorporated into the starting lineup of Madrid if he decides to join Carlo Ancelotti’s squad.

It should be brought to your attention, however, that Chelsea have absolutely no intention of selling their wonderkid, who is considered to be a crown gem of their Cobham academy.

In light of the fact that Real Madrid is having second thoughts about its top pick, Trent Alexander-Arnold, they would have to make a significant effort to test Chelsea’s resistance, which is not an overly improbable scenario.Despite the fact that the La Liga champions have been heavily associated with Alexander-Arnold, it is said that they are currently balancing his enormous pay demands against whether or not they genuinely require a right-back who is more adept at defensive play.

When it comes to acquiring Acheampong from Chelsea, Real Madrid could have to contend with competition from a number of other teams.

There are three Premier League teams that are keeping an eye on Acheampong in preparation for a potential transfer fight in January. These clubs are Liverpool, Newcastle United, and Tottenham.

During the previous season, Acheampong made his debut for Chelsea in the Premier League against Spurs. Before that, he participated in Chelsea’s victory against Barrow AFC in the Carabao Cup earlier this year.
