Paris Saint-Germain crushed Real Madrid in route to the FIFA Club World Cup final, continuing its scorching 2025. They easily defeated Los Blancos 4-0 on Wednesday night to advance to the final, where they will face Chelsea on Sunday. Madrid was defeated by a brace from Fabian Ruiz, a goal from Goncalo Ramos, and a strike from Ousmane Dembele. This was just another instance of PSG’s outstanding play this season.
Under Luis Enrique, the French team has been playing at a higher level this season and has somehow improved after Kylian Mbappe left last summer. After winning the Champions League and Ligue 1 championship in 2024–2025, they have surpassed Mbappe and his new side to become the greatest team in the world.
But Madrid’s supporters aren’t pleased after a terribly disappointing evening. In fact, following the defeat, they took to social media to demand that the team sell two of its players right away.
Madrid Fans Want Rudiger and Asensio Sold
They aren’t happy with either defender
Even though Madrid didn’t have a fantastic evening overall, two players in particular stood out for all the wrong reasons, and now the fans are calling for Antonio Rudiger and Raul Asencio to be sold right away. The pair, who battled against PSG and were mostly to blame for the first two goals they gave up, have not impressed them at all.
Before the game was even over, fans vented their frustrations about Rudiger and Asencio on social media. One went straight to X (Twitter) and declared: “Rudiger is finished. He must be replaced by us. Asencio One person wrote: “Real Madrid should sell Rudiger and Asencio. I have no idea what’s wrong with him.” These individuals are incapable of playing football.
That was the opinion of a third admirer, who only stated: “Sell both Rudiger and Asencio.” One fan wrote: “We need a public apology by both Raul Asencio and Rudiger after this one.” Some supporters aren’t even happy with the players leaving; they want them to apologize for their performances.
“If I can, I’ll sell both Rudiger and Asencio,” said a fifth enthusiast. Not joking. Additionally, a sixth demanded that the team replace them with a new defense, stating: “Konate is needed this summer.” Asencio and Rudiger are unable to start for Madrid in any more games.
“Rudiger and Asencio are awful,” wrote another admirer, while the last one called the former Chelsea player “embarrassing” and couldn’t think of anything to say about the latter. “Rudiger is sooo embarrassing!!!” The excitement surrounding him has always baffled me. I don’t want to discuss Asencio at all.
