Real Madrid fans can’t believe what Trent Alexander-Arnold posted after his first assist for the club

Trent Alexander-Arnold provided his first assist for Real Madrid, setting up Gonzalo Garcia’s winner over Juventus.

Trent Alexander-Arnold impressed fans with his first assist in a Real Madrid shirt, but he also confused them with what he put online afterward.

After securing the England international’s services when his Liverpool contract expired on June 30, Real Madrid moved to bring Alexander-Arnold in for the Club World Cup, paying the Premier League winners £8.4 million.

Real’s decision to pay the fee to release Alexander-Arnold early was vindicated, since the club advanced to the quarterfinals and collected about £27 million in prize money after defeating Juventus 1-0.

Gonzalo Garcia, 21, scored the winner, knocking home his third goal of the season from Alexander-Arnold’s excellent pass down the right side.

What did Alexander-Arnold post to Instagram?
It was a memorable moment for the 26-year-old, who used Instagram to give a greeting to Los Blancos fans, writing: “See you in the Quarters! Vamosss.”

Alexander-Arnold, on the other hand, startled fans with his comments on teammate Dean Huijsen’s game-day post.

The Spain international tweeted a carousel of photos from the game in Miami, but Alexander-Arnold responded, “How many pics of ur feet u wanna post?”

The joke received 35,000 likes on Huijsen’s post and had followers laughing.

One person said, “We got a new bromance.”

A second said: “Leave my chill guy alone”

A third commented, “This team is winning the lots.”

How the Spanish media responded to Alexander-Arnold’s show
Despite his brilliance in scoring Real’s winning goal at the Hard Rock Stadium, the Spanish media remained critical of Alexander-Arnold, who has started every game in the Club World Cup thus far.

MARCA noted he “was weak in defence, inaccurate in attack, and almost always poorly positioned,” although they did say he “has a glove on his foot” when it comes to moving forward.

Meanwhile, Mundo Deportivo noted “errors unbecoming of his level” after adding that the No.12 had “a poor start”

Nonetheless, Xabi Alonso has great hopes for Alexander-Arnold and explained why he struggled in the round of 16.

“We were surprised by Yildiz’s position in the middle,” Alonso said.

“Everything takes time, but I believe in him. Both he and Carvajal are reliable fullbacks. We will improve collectively and then individually, not the other way around.”

Real return to action on Saturday, when they face Dortmund at MetLife Stadium in the last eight.
