QPR have identified the three players who will leave Loftus Road this summer, but Ilias Chair is not among them.

Because of his ongoing injury issues this season, the Queens Park Rangers may try to sell Ilias Chair this summer.

Chair is one of the finest attacking midfielders in the Championship when he’s on form, but he only scored two goals last season and has struggled to make an impression since Julien Stephan arrived at Loftus Road.

The 28-year-old’s lack of fitness has contributed to the R’s inconsistency this season, and there’s a sense around the Championship that a talent like Chair may need a fresh start to reach his full potential as one of the division’s elite players.

Meanwhile, to assist his team launch a more serious play-off quest next season, QPR manager Stephan will be looking to oversee a busy transfer market this summer.

With that in mind, Football League World has looked at three players who might depart Loftus Road alongside Chair before next season.

Sam field

Sam Field is now on loan at Norwich City after falling out of favour with Stephan in west London.

The Canaries have been in better form than QPR in recent weeks and months, and Field has started for the Norfolk side in Championship games against Oxford United, Birmingham City, Leicester City, and Sheffield United, scoring an assist against the Foxes.

However, Field has consistently failed to get a starting berth for the R’s this season and may seek a permanent move away from Loftus Road in the summer.

The 27-year-old joined QPR on loan from West Bromwich Albion in February 2021, before signing permanently the following summer.

Paul Nardi

Stephan has struggled as a goalkeeper this season, sometimes playing with Paul Nardi, Joe Walsh, and Ben Hamer.

Nardi and Walsh have both played much more than Hamer, but the 24-year-old has been preferred to the Frenchman since the turn of the year.

The 31-year-old’s contract with the R’s is set to expire this summer, and his lack of activity in recent months suggests he may leave Loftus Road as a free agent.

Meanwhile, QPR has had one of the poorest defensive records in the Championship this season, so Stephan must be eager to sign a new goalkeeper.

Kealey Adamson

Kealey Adamson joined the R’s from Australian club Macarthur last summer, although he has yet to demonstrate his ability at the Championship level.

The right-back had two goals and three assists for Macarthur in the 2024/25 season, indicating that he might be an asset to Stephan’s team both offensively and defensively.

However, he has frequently been named as an unused substitute, implying that Stephan does not believe the 23-year-old is ready for second-tier English football yet.

When Adamson joined the R’s, he told the club website, “I’m lucky I’ve got an engine, I’ve got pace to be able to get forward, join the attack a lot when I can and still be able to come back and be disciplined in defence.”

However, due to a lack of playing time, the former Sydney player has not been able to demonstrate such skills in QPR colours.

As a result, Adamson could be loaned out by the West Londoners this summer, and League One clubs may be interested in his services despite his Championship problems.
