Premier League Club Have Already Signed 17-Year-Old Kairat Star Who Impressed vs Real Madrid

The teenager delivered an excellent effort in the Champions League match.

A Premier League club has already signed potential FC Kairat player Dastan Satpayev.

Real Madrid resumed their 2025/26 Champions League campaign on Tuesday night, travelling to Kazakhstan to face FC Kairat at the Ortalyq stadium in Pavlodar.

The historic meeting will be the first between the two clubs since FC Kairat won Kazakhstan’s top league in 2024, securing a spot in their inaugural Champions League.

Although the La Liga giants quickly took the lead in the encounter thanks to a penalty from Kylian Mbappe, it was FC Kairat’s Satpayev who stood out the most throughout the first half.

However, one Premier League club was already aware of the youngster’s outstanding talents and has already agreed to sign him next year.

Throughout the first half of Kairat’s second Champions League outing, youthful attacker Satpayev captivated spectators with an amazing performance.

Although Kairat fans will have to make the most of Satpayev this season, the 17-year-old will join Chelsea next summer after the Premier League club agreed to sign the forward in February.

Satpayev will not be eligible to arrive in the UK and legally join Chelsea until he turns 18 in August next year, due to post-Brexit laws.

And it looks that Chelsea discovered a hidden gem before anybody else, with teammate Luis Mata detailing Satpayev’s abilities in a recent interview with Spanish site Marca.

“He’s only 17 years old, yet he’s quick, strong, and finishes effectively on both feet. “He has tremendous potential, which is why Chelsea signed him,” he explained.

“He’ll presumably go on loan to get experience, like in the Champions League. I believe he has amazing potential, but football is much more than that. The psychological part is also very essential, and I believe he possesses that as well. Hopefully, he can help us beat Real Madrid.”

Satpayev is known as the ‘Kazakh Lamine Yamal’.

The prospective Chelsea star has even been compared to Barcelona wonderkid Lamine Yamal, with Spanish defender Jose Carrillo, who presently plays for Kazakhstan’s FC Ulytau, praising Satpayev in a recent AS interview.

“The most talked-about is Satpayev. “He’s a 17-year-old who excites the entire country because he’s like their great international ambassador,” Carrillo said.

“In terms of age, quality, and position, he may be the Kazakh Lamine Yamal, but he’s right-footed and frequently serves as a playmaker in addition to playing on the wing. “A great player.”
