An independent Regulatory Commission has imposed fines on Portsmouth FC and Southampton FC following a huge brawl during their EFL Championship match on Sunday, January 25.
The incident occurred in the 69th minute of the match, when both teams were accused of failing to guarantee that their players did not engage in inappropriate and/or provocative behavior.
Both Portsmouth and Southampton admitted the charges leveled against them.
After analyzing the case, the Regulatory Commission penalized Southampton £50,000 and Portsmouth £25,000.
