Piers Morgan fires back at Megan Rapinoe after she brands Donald Trump ‘depraved’ over trans athlete ban

Piers Morgan has responded to Megan Rapinoe, a former member of the United States Women’s National Team, after she referred to an individual named Donald Trump as “depraved” for his views on transgender athletes.

Last month, President Trump signed an executive order that prohibits transgender athletes from competing in sports that are traditionally reserved for female athletes.

The majority of the order pertains to high schools, universities, and sports at the grassroots level.

After that, President Trump issued a warning to the press during a press briefing held at the White House, stating that organisations would run the risk of losing their federal funding if they did not comply with the order.

In light of the fact that Rapinoe is now expressing her opinion, the order has been deemed contentious by opposing groups.

When asked about Trump’s ban on transgender athletes, former United States Women’s National Team captain Rapinoe was interviewed by MUNDIAL.

The individual, who is 39 years old and is an advocate for a number of LGBTIA+ organisations, responded by saying, “Don’t tell me it’s about the rights of women’s sports.”

Making such a statement is completely and utterly dishonest. To tell you the truth, I find it to be extremely malicious. In the end, it is just kind of cruel and depraved to take everything away from it.

“This is not a problem, and you are not going to be able to issue an executive order that will eradicate transgender families and individuals.

Over the course of the past ten years, we have been going through a very long period of time in which we have been required to fight in order to achieve a baseline of, for example, equal rights and non-discriminatory behaviour. And I believe that we are kind of at that moment when people stop just sitting on women’s sports. I would say that we are at that moment.

In response to Rapinoe, television host Morgan has now provided his words.

Morgan retaliated by posting the following on his Twitter account: “Imagine thinking that anyone who questions the participation of biological men in women’s sports is ‘depraved in their assumptions.”

The singer Rapinoe is such a liar.

Seb Coe, a four-time Olympic champion and a former president of the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF), is currently running for the position of president of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), and he has received his support from him.

When asked about his first priorities if he were to be elected, Coe stated in a column for The Telegraph that one of his primary goals would be to “protect the female category” of sports.

Morgan responded with the following: “For this reason alone, never mind all his other world-class credentials on and off the track, Seb Coe is obviously the stand-out candidate to be the new IOC president and should win tomorrow’s vote.”
