Leny Yoro

Leny Yoro has made his formal debut.

The transfer market may be ready to open, and supporters of Manchester United will be eager to hear more about new arrivals in the coming days.

Over the weekend, Joshua Zirkzee, a striker from Serie A team Bologna, became United’s first summer addition. With the preseason currently under way, the Dutchman will soon reunite with his new teammates.

After losing 1-0 to Rosenborg on Monday night to begin the friendly, United will play again on Saturday against Rangers. It’s possible that by the time that game arrives, further signings will have been made.

Leny Yoro, the defender, is one of them. The player has agreed to sign with United after the club accepted their bid.

Up to the deadline day of next month, work will be done behind the scenes to bolster the team.

Completed transaction

Now officially a member of Man United, Leny Yoro!

“Manchester United is pleased to confirm that Leny Yoro has joined the club, subject to registration,” the statement from the team said. The French defender agreed to a deal that runs until June 2029 with a one-year option to extend.

Yoro has already participated in 60 first-team games for Lille OSC at the young age of 18. He helped his team place fourth in the league the previous season, earning him a spot on the Ligue 1 team of the season.

“It is an amazing honour to sign for a club with the prestige and ambition of Manchester United at such an early stage of my career,” Leny Yoro stated. From our initial talks, the club has shown me and my family a great deal of concern and has laid out a clear plan for how I may grow in Manchester as part of this wonderful enterprise.

“I feel that Manchester United, along with my new teammates, can be the ideal place for me to realise my potential and accomplish my goals because of the club’s history of developing young players.” I am quite eager to begin.
