Pep Guardiola ‘approves’ Man City bid for Real Madrid player who will fix their biggest problem position

It has been reported that Pep Guardiola has given his approval for Manchester City to make a signing that will completely change the game during the summer.

Following a string of poor performances, Manchester City made four acquisitions during the January transfer window. These acquisitions included the addition of Omar Marmoush, Abdukodir Khusanov, and Nico Gonzalez, who brought the club’s total spending to more than one hundred million pounds.

Despite the fact that City’s roster is getting older and that many of its players appear to have passed their prime, the club is still planning to continue their massive overhaul when the summer transfer window opens.

Tino Livramento of Newcastle and Andrea Cambiaso of Juventus have both been mentioned as potential candidates for the full-back position; however, a recent report asserts that they are focussing their attention on committing to a significant player from Real Madrid.

It has been reported by Steve Kay of Football Transfers that Manchester City are considering making a move for Eduardo Camavinga, and that Pep Guardiola is “all in” and “strongly supports” the likelihood of the transfer taking place.

The Frenchman, who has won the Champions League twice with Real Madrid, has demonstrated his versatility by performing at an exceptionally high level in both the midfield and left back positions for Carlo Ancelotti’s team.

Guardiola is said to view the 22-year-old as someone who has the potential to replace two of City’s modern greats, Ilkay Gundogan and Bernardo Silva, who are both rumoured to be leaving the club at the end of the current season. This is reportedly due to the fact that Guardiola sees the 22-year-old as someone who possesses the ability to quickly transform defence into attack.

After making 170 appearances for Los Blancos, Camavinga joined Real Madrid from Rennes in 2021 for a fee of £34.4 million. Since then, he has played for Real Madrid twice.

Currently, Real has their top midfield target lined up and ready to go.
Joao Neves, a Portuguese midfielder currently playing for Paris Saint-Germain, is reportedly Real Madrid’s top transfer target for the summer, as reported by Fichajes.

Despite the fact that Neves only joined the Parisian club in August, the initial cost of the deal was €59.9 million. Additionally, Renato Sanches was loaned back to Benfica.

The twenty-year-old player, who was a transfer target for Manchester United in the past, has been a revelation for Paris Saint-Germain. He has made 35 appearances and accomplished 13 goal involvements from central midfield.

According to the publication, Real Madrid is ready to make a deal for Neves that includes a makeweight compensation of Camavinga in addition to a twenty million euro offer. However, there is no indication that Paris Saint-Germain would consider such a proposal.
