Paul Pogba offered to Champions League club and could make stunning free transfer

Due to his suspension, Pogba has not played professional football since September 2023.

According to a recent report, Paul Pogba was offered a free move to a Champions League team this summer.

Since making an appearance in Juventus’ Serie A match against Empoli in September 2023, Pogba has not played.

In 2023, he received a four-year suspension after a preliminary testing following a match against Udinese revealed the presence of DHEA, a substance that stimulates the body’s production of hormones, notably testosterone.

Pogba denied ‘knowingly or deliberately taking any supplements that violate anti-doping laws’ and was given a reduced 18-month sentence following an appeal.

The 2018 World Cup winner was able to resume playing competitive football in March as a result, although he hasn’t found a new team yet.

The 32-year-old has been linked to moves to Manchester United, Newcastle, Inter Miami, and his boyhood club, Marseille.

According to Foot Mercato, a comeback is now more likely than ever.

Pogba had ‘wanted to wait and see which project would fit him best’ before returning to professional football, the article claims.

He has reportedly received an offer from AS Monaco, a Ligue 1 team that has advanced to the Champions League for the upcoming season.

The Monegasque team won 18 of their 34 games to finish in third place last season, and they have already started to bolster their roster for the upcoming campaign.

They are apparently nearing a season-long loan deal for Barcelona winger Ansu Fati with a buyout option, while former Tottenham defender Eric Dier will join on a free transfer next month after his Bayern Munich contract expires.

Monaco is ‘in pursuit of a talented player to enhance their midfield,’ according to Foot Mercato, and a move to Marseille is out of the question because of Pogba’s anticipated pay demands.

After being out of the game for almost two years, a move would eventually enable the Frenchman to resume playing football.
