This summer, Brendan Rodgers saw a number of Celtic players depart.
The club’s biggest sale, Nicolas Kuhn, left for Como at the start of the summer and brought in a respectable profit for the Hoops.
In order to focus on his team before the last year of his contract, Rodgers let go of Greg Taylor, Gustaf Lagerbielke, and Adam Idah.
Although the Hoops manager made his requests known and explicit, not all of them were fulfilled. In any case, the side managed to move some dead wood.
Additionally, a horrible tackle that resulted in a straight red card for one Hoops player sent out on loan this summer compelled him to issue a public apology.
A Celtics player issues an apology for the straight red tackle.
This summer, Luis Palma, Maik Nawrocki, and Stephen Welsh were among those sent out on loan in an attempt to get more first-team playing time.

Palma has been receiving that, but on Wednesday night, things took a turn for the worst when his opponent’s captain was substituted due to a concerning injury sustained in a poorly timed tackle.
For Polish team Lech Poznan, the Honduran has been playing well, and that started in their 2-2 league match with Rakow Czestochowa.
Prior to going on the scoreboard himself soon before halftime, he helped his team’s first goal. However, Palma rightfully lost his temper shortly after the restart.
Palma has now officially apologised for his violent tackle on Rakow skipper Zoran Aresnic via an Instagram story post.

Whether Palma will receive a longer ban for the challenge is still up in the air.
Is it possible for Lech Poznan to purchase Luis Palma from Celtic?
Since the 25-year-old was clearly out of Rodgers’ plans, many anticipated that Palma would depart Celtic permanently this summer.
The Polish team does, however, have the option to purchase the forward for approximately £4.5 million.
In the event that the option is exercised, Celtic would make money from the 2023 transfer price they paid to acquire him from Aris of Greece.
However, Palma’s sole concern at this point will be the fine he must pay following his humiliating challenge, which, in his own words, failed to support his position.
