PSV Eindhoven’s Johan Bakayoko, a winger, is still not on Arsenal’s wish list, as Fabrizio Romano exclusively revealed to GIVEMESPORT. This summer, Bakayoko is being watched by other teams, but the Gunners are still considering their options.
Romano claims that the 21-year-old is one of the top wingers available. Following another outstanding season in the Eredivisie, Bakayoko, who is currently focused on Belgium’s Euro 2024 campaign and has been termed “incredible” by teammate Romelu Lukaku, is anticipating a busy summer.
The right-winger had already attracted the attention of Liverpool. Bakayoko is known to the new manager, Arne Slot, from his days in the Netherlands. The 21-year-old, whose asking price is reportedly £43 million, is reportedly being considered by the Premier League for a second consecutive summer. He informed the media earlier in the season that former Burnley manager Vincent Kompany had contacted and “explained his vision” before the Clarets made their Premier League comeback.
One of the top Belgian talents is Bakayoko, who made his PSV first-team debut in 2022, along with youngsters like Jeremy Doku and Lois Openda. However, Romano maintains that it is “still early” to draw conclusions about his possible summer transfer to Arsenal. He is without a doubt one of the best wingers available. It’s early, though, as Arsenal and the team haven’t yet started formal talks over Bakayoko. I think Arsenal will think things over well before deciding on that position. Bakayoko does not, however, believe that it is approaching or going to happen anytime soon.
The squad led by Mikel Arteta is eager to spend more money this summer after missing out on the Premier League title. The Gunners set a transfer record when Declan Rice arrived last year, and despite their quiet start to the summer, they may still be open to big-money recruits.
In 2024, after Belgium made it to the Round of 16, everything will probably be resolved regarding Bakayoko’s future. Following an incredible season with PSV, in which he played in 33 Eredivisie games and finished with 12 goals and 9 assists, the 21-year-old was called up for the first time to a major event.

The 25-year-old had a difficult season playing little and scoring few goals (only five in 27 league games) under manager Mikel Arteta. It appears that several Premier League teams, notably Wolves, Crystal Palace, and Fulham, are pursuing Nketiah this summer.
