After losing all seven of his games at Nottingham Forest, Ange Postecoglou is under a lot of pressure.
Ange Postecoglou is under increasing pressure following Nottingham Forest’s 2-0 loss to Newcastle on Sunday.
After the Portugueuse’s contentious dismissal on September 9, Postecoglou took Nuno Espirito Santo’s place, but he hasn’t won his first game yet.
Forest has lost five games and drew two in all competitions since he was hired. The most recent defeat occurred at St. James’ Park due to goals from Nick Woltemade and Bruno Guimaraes in the second half.
In his post-match interview, Postecoglou responded to the cries of “You’re getting sacked in the morning” that the Australian’s own fans made during Thursday’s 3-2 Europa League loss to FC Midtjylland.

Before the pivotal journey to the North East, Postecoglou’s future was in doubt, according to a number of publications, including the Daily Mail.
It was said that if Forest lost again, they would decide over the international break whether to stick with Postecoglou.
Evangelos Marinakis, who fired Carlos Corberan after 11 games at Olympiacos, must now decide how to handle Forest’s ongoing winless streak.
In response to questions regarding his future during a pregame press conference, Postecoglou said he is not concerned about rumours, noting that he knew he was going to lose his job at Spurs three months prior to his dismissal.
“I get it, it’s a valid assumption in modern football there’s always a manager under pressure, that’s part and parcel of what we do,” Postecoglou stated.
“That’s not how I think. Three or four months before I was fired from Tottenham, I knew I was going to be let go. I still managed to win anything. I don’t think about it. I’m not carrying out my assigned function if I start worrying about what will occur next week.”

Under former manager Nuno, Forest’s most recent victory occurred against Brentford in the season’s opening match.
Following the international break, Forest has a challenging schedule that includes Europa League matches against Chelsea and Porto, followed by a match against Bournemouth on October 26.
