Norwich City has removed former Oxford United head coach Liam Manning of his duties following the club’s poor start in the Championship season.
Manning’s side were defeated 2-1 at home by Leicester City, their sixth home loss in a straight, leaving the Canaries second from bottom in the league table.
Norwich have lost ten of their fifteen league games under the former United manager, who was hired by the East Anglian club in the summer.

After leading Bristol City to the play-offs in his first full season at Ashton Gate last season, the Canaries swooped in and hired the 40-year-old as their head coach on a four-year contract.
Manning spent eight months with the Kassam before joining the Robins. Joining in March, the English coach led the U’s to the end of the 2022/23 season before kicking off the following impressively.
The former Yellows manager won four of his first five games the next season, earning a League One Manager of the Month title, and had United second in the table before taking over for Nigel Pearson in Bristol.
Oxford will meet Norwich in their second game following the impending international break on Tuesday, November 25th, under the lights at Carrow Road.
