In light of worries that the Arsenal winger might have sustained an ACL damage during Sunday’s Premier League 1-1 draw against Manchester City, an injury expert has rendered a decision on Noni Madueke.
While suspicions circulated on social media that the England international might have suffered a serious ACL damage, the Evening Standard verified on Monday that Madueke was having a knee scan.
@ConMarbleHalls tweeted, “Noni Madueke experienced knee pain at halftime.” Due to scans today, there are concerns of an ACL; if verified, a significant portion of the season will be missed. I hope he’s doing well; he started off so well with us this season.
In the meantime, more video that was uploaded on X captures the incident that might have injured Madueke. Watch the video below:
Injury Expert’s Madueke Verdict

Football injury analyst Physio Scout has already tweeted their findings after evaluating first-half film. The tweet says:
“With regard to Noni Madueke being taken for scans, I’ve skimmed over the first half and it’s difficult to conclude that any event could have caused an ACL damage.
“Yes, it appears that he was experiencing difficulty in his knee, but he may have simply been sent for precautionary scans on the knee issue.
“Please take any rumours with a grain of salt. I’d be happy to be proven wrong on any footage and would update my analysis.”
A comforting message for Arsenal supporters, who will be fervently praying that Madueke’s injury turns out to be much less severe than anticipated. The team will still be working on an official website, though.
At Emirates Stadium right now, Madueke is working to disprove his sceptics. After a wild season at Stamford Bridge, many fans were first dubious about the choice to sign the winger.
However, the Englishman, who just scored his first goal for his country, has already demonstrated why Mikel Arteta was so adamant about bringing him to north London just a few weeks into the 2025–26 season.
