By signing a two-year contract extension at Stamford Bridge, Jackson has pledged his future to Chelsea until 2033. In 2023, the striker transferred from Villarreal of La Liga to the Premier League club. During his inaugural season in west London, he scored 17 goals. The 23-year-old has achieved a commendable return; however, he has expressed that his initial season in English football was not entirely satisfactory.

He stated on Chelsea’s website, “The initial season for any player or striker who joins Chelsea is challenging, but I managed to perform satisfactorily.” I am not overly pleased with 17 goals, as I was able to play the entire season without any ailments; however, it is acceptable. I performed well; however, I aspire to surpass my previous performance. I am currently in the process of learning, and I am constantly striving to enhance my abilities and address my limitations. I was able to easily adjust to the club due to my proficiency in English and my sociable nature. It was effortless to engage in conversation with all individuals and establish rapport. The weather was the sole issue; however, I eventually adjusted to it. I am acquainted with all individuals on the pitch. It will remain that way indefinitely. I am optimistic that we will surpass our accomplishments from the previous year and achieve a significant accomplishment this year.

Jackson has begun the current campaign well, and Chelsea will be anticipating additional goals from him this season. Under the new coach, Enzo Maresca, the Senegal international has contributed two goals and an assist in the club’s first three Premier League games.

Following the international break, Chelsea will resume their competitive activities on Saturday against a Bournemouth team that has yet to suffer a loss in the 2024-25 Premier League season.
