Neymar was offered blank cheque to play for European giants but rejected it out of love

Neymar, a professional football player from Brazil, has disclosed that Real Madrid made him an offer of an unlimited amount of money to play for them, but he declined the offer.

The player, who is now 33 years old, has recently relocated to Santos, the club he played for when he was younger. He is hoping to cap off his illustrious career there.

At one point in time, he was considered to be one of the best players in the world while playing for Barcelona, where he remained for a period of four years, from 2013 to 2017.

However, prior to Neymar’s transfer to the Nou Camp, he was presented with a “blank cheque” to join teams that are their fiercest competitors.

Recently, he made the following statement: “The offer from Real Madrid was a blank cheque, they told me I could have whatever I wanted… but I loved Barcelona with all of my heart.”

The amount of money I would have made at Real Madrid would have been three times as much. Florentino [Perez] has always found me attractive. However, Ronaldinho had previously played there, and I was hoping to play alongside Messi.

During the later stages of his career, Neymar also confirmed that Pep Guardiola, who had previously managed Barcelona, attempted to entice him to join Bayern Munich.

Neymar continued by saying, “Because of Guardiola, I came exceptionally close to joining Bayern Munich.”

When my father called me, I was in Switzerland to accept the Puskas Award. I was there to accept the award.

I was sitting in the room wearing only my pants when all of a sudden, my father approached Guardiola and entered the room.

During our conversation, Pep said, “I would like to take you to the team that I will be coaching.” I will make you the best player, and you will play very well. It is my intention to change my name if you do not score sixty goals in a single season. At three o’clock in the morning, this was done!

After accumulating more than one hundred goals in 186 games for Barcelona, Neymar went on to become the most expensive football player in history, a record that continues to be held to this day, when he moved to Paris Saint-Germain.

In 2017, the French club paid a total of £200 million to acquire Neymar, who was then 25 years old.

Following a period of six years spent in the French capital, he made yet another significant financial move by joining Al-Hilal, a Saudi Pro League club.

The Middle East was not a particularly fruitful region for him, as he only participated in seven games during a period that was plagued by injuries.

In January, Neymar returned to Santos, this time wearing the legendary number 10 shirt that Pele wore from 1956 until 1974 throughout his career.

In the first few games he has played for the team, he has already scored twice, including an Olympico, which he insisted he meant after being booed by the crowd of the opposing team.

A few days ago, La Liga President Javier Tebas stated that he believes either Lionel Messi or Neymar will return to Barcelona in the near future. The news that Neymar has turned down a move to Real Madrid that comes with a blank cheque comes just a few days after Tebas made his statement.

I have a feeling that Messi would like to return to Barcelona. “He was there for a significant amount of time,” Tebas said.

“There is no doubt in my mind that Messi will return. There is a possibility that he will return, but it is also possible that he will return in another capacity.

Messi and Barcelona are inseparable from one another. In a lot of respects, his brand and Barcelona’s brand are virtually identical to one another. He is completely smitten with the club.

“Neymar is a separate and distinct story. I have a strong suspicion that he will never go back to Barcelona. I don’t have any doubts about that.”
