Newcastle drop major Alexander Isak transfer hint on club website after Liverpool ultimatum

An Alexander Isak transfer rumour has surfaced on Newcastle United’s official website, amidst Liverpool’s pursuit.

A significant Alexander Isak transfer hint has surfaced on Newcastle United’s official website following his astonishing ultimatum.

Isak’s name continues to dominate the transfer rumour mill as the new Premier League season approaches.

Liverpool, who are still looking for new signings, are keeping an eye on his status after a proposal of £110 million was rejected.

He has subsequently informed Newcastle that he would not play for them again and has no desire to reintegrate into the group as he strives to secure a move to Anfield this summer.

Despite Isak’s new stance, Newcastle has hinted at the player’s future on its website.

They have confirmed the squad numbers for the 2025/26 season, with Isak given a shirt number despite his request to leave St. James’ Park.

Isak remains Newcastle’s No.14, a position he has held since joining from Real Sociedad in the summer of 2022.

Fabrizio Romano delivers an update on Alexander Isak.
Liverpool spent big this summer, including £79 million signing attacker Hugo Ekitike.

However, the club has also approved the departures of Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez, after Diogo Jota passed away last month.

The Reds are looking for more players as they prepare to defend their Premier League championship, and Isak is high on their list.

Romano says they will ‘bid again’ for the Swede.

On X, he wrote: “Liverpool will bid again for Isak, as has been planned since July…

“…if/when Newcastle opens the doors to his exit. “No changes.”
