AFC Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola has confessed that his side is still looking for another signing before the end of the window, and this latest discovery has Stoke City on high alert.
According to Sky Sports’ Mark McAdam, Bournemouth are looking for one more acquisition before the transfer deadline on Monday.
The Cherries are reportedly looking for someone who can play as a winger or wing-back, and they have three potential targets, one of whom is Luis Henrique of Inter.
Though suspicions will be developing around Stoke City, Welsh international Sorba Thomas might be one of those alternatives, with The Daily Mail recently crediting the Premier League club with a bid for the winger, who can also play wing-back.
Stoke City will be on high alert over Sorba Thomas’ interest, given Andoni Iraola’s recent comments at Bournemouth.

Indeed, Iraola’s recent comments will spark some anxiety around the Stoke camp, as they will be desperate to keep hold of Thomas beyond the transfer deadline.
After Antoine Semenyo moved to Manchester City for £64 million from Bournemouth, the Cherries actively sought replacements for the Ghanaian.
Despite having signed Brazilian winger Rayan from Vasco da Gama for £24.7 million, Bournemouth do not appear to be done yet.
Thomas has played in a variety of positions during his career, but is most effective out wide, where his ability to whip in dangerous crosses is a trademark of his game. This season, he has primarily played off the left for Stoke and as a wing-back for Wales.
Thomas matches the mold of exactly what Iraola is seeking for, but Stoke’s willingness to part ways with their star man late in the window appears questionable, with only a big sum likely enough to entice him away from the Potteries.
The 27-year-old joined Stoke from Huddersfield Town last summer, but has taken his game to the next level under Mark Robins in Staffordshire, and Iraola’s latest comments will only add to their concerns.
Sorba Thomas is Stoke City’s best performance this season, and Mark Robins will not want to lose him.

Indeed, the last thing that Robins will want before the window closes is to see Thomas depart, having emerged as an integral figure in the Potters’ ranks this campaign.
The Welshman has taken his game to the next level at the bet365 Stadium this season, scoring nine goals and assisting six in 29 league games while starting every game for the Potters in the Championship.
With Stoke having scored only 34 league goals this season, Thomas has directly contributed to 44% of his team’s goals, the greatest margin of any player in the second tier at this point.
His importance extends beyond his goal contributions; with Stoke’s injury-ravaged team, the Welshman’s availability has proven critical, and he even deputised at right-back in their most recent 1-1 draw against Birmingham City.
Stoke and Robins will be hoping that Thomas is not on Bournemouth’s list of targets, otherwise it could be a turbulent end to the month for the Potters, who must do everything they can to keep the Welshman at the club if they have serious hopes of a play-off place.
