Mohamed Salah ‘being eyed by two European giants’ after Liverpool contract admission

Liverpool needs to be careful now that two major European teams are said to be interested in Mohamed Salah.

Salah, Virgil van Dijk, and Trent Alexander-Arnold are all in the last year of their contracts at Liverpool, which has led to a lot of talk about his future. The Egyptian star was offered a very rich move to the Saudi Pro League, but in 2022, he signed a new deal that made his current deal even longer.

This time, though, it’s not clear what he wants because he sent Liverpool a message after scoring in the 3-0 win over Manchester United. He said, “This is my last year with the club, and I want to enjoy it.” “I feel free to play football. Perhaps next year something will happen.”

It seems like Liverpool has tried to keep things calm. During the transfer window, boss Arne Slot and sports director Richard Hughes played down worries. But because of how they’re acting, Salah can finish out his deal before he might be able to leave for free next summer.
Salah has scored 214 goals and set up 92 others in 352 games for Liverpool. It’s no surprise that other teams are interested in signing him. El Nacional says that both Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain have asked about the 32-year-old player, and Al-Ittihad could make him another offer.
Slot is happy with Salah’s start to the season. In three Premier League games, he has scored three goals and set up three others. When asked about Salah’s interesting words at Old Trafford, the Dutchman played them down.

“There are many “ifs” in it.” He told Sky Sports, “Right now he is one of ours, and I’m really happy about that. He played really well.” “Player contracts aren’t something I talk about, but I could talk for hours about how Mo played today.”

At the moment, Liverpool pays Salah about £350,000 a week, which is a club record and is making them think. Some say that his pay has “rocked the boat” in the locker room, and Liverpool doesn’t want to repeat his deal on the same terms because of his age and the problems it could cause for other players.

Former Arsenal scorer Ian Wright, on the other hand, thinks Salah is worth the side effects. “If Liverpool goes ahead with it, I think he will stay,” he said. “I also know that people are wary of signing 30-year-olds to contracts, but I think he’s an exception because of how he prepares and plays.”
