Mo Salah wore extremely rare watch for Liverpool contract signing that you can only buy in certain countries

When Mohamed Salah signed a deal with Liverpool, he was seen sporting a very unusual watch that is only available in specific nations.

Salah’s contract with the Reds was extended until the summer of 2027, the team announced on Friday morning.

The 32-year-old’s current contract was set to expire this summer, and if he fulfils the terms of the new one, he will have spent ten complete seasons on Merseyside.

With 27 goals this season, he leads the Premier League in scoring, while he leads the league in assists with 17.

“Of course I’m very excited,” Salah stated in an interview with Liverpool’s official website. I signed because I like playing football and I believe we have a chance to win more titles.

“It’s fantastic; these were my greatest years. I aim to play for ten years, having done so for eight. I’m having fun here and playing football. My career was at its peak during those years.

Salah wore an incredibly rare accessory when he signed his contract.

The Richard Mille watch that the Egyptian was sporting can only be bought in a few locations worldwide.

The Swiss luxury watch company has six locations in the US and operates in 20 countries, islands, and territories overall.

Many of their other stores are located in Asian nations like Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Malaysia, while the only store in the UK is based in London.

The capital of the Caribbean island of Saint Barthelemy, Gustavia, is arguably the most isolated place.

In sport, Richard Mille has had a long history with Formula 1 and has collaborations with drivers Charles Leclerc, Fernando Alonso and Lando Norris as well as the McLaren and Ferrari teams.

It also claims Jamaican sprinting sensations Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and Yohan Blake among its partners, as well as Chelsea icon Didier Drogba and World Rally Championship hero Sebastian Loeb.

Salah’s watch is a precise replica of the RM 17-02 Tourbillon.

The price, as reported by luxury watch vendors Chrono24, is an impressive £609,997.

However, if you had an extra £609,997 hanging around and were considering purchasing it, they do not provide delivery to the UK.

The watch has a “manual winding tourbillon movement with hours, minutes, power-reserve (of 70 hours), and function indicators,” according to the official Richard Mille website.

The watch was made “in accordance with extremely rigorous specifications, in the manner of the analytical engineering methods used in the design of Formula 1 racing cars,” it adds.

Salah may be searching for his next luxury watch now that he has signed a new contract.
