Mikel Arteta storms out of interview after question from Sky Sports interviewer

After Arsenal’s match against Manchester United on Sunday, Mikel Arteta stormed out of a post-match interview with Sky Sports. The interview was conducted after the match.

The first-half free-kick taken by Bruno Fernandes was cancelled out by a fine effort made by Declan Rice in the second half, which allowed Arsenal to earn a point at Old Trafford. However, Arsenal now finds themselves 15 points behind Liverpool, who are the leaders of the Premier League, as the title keeps getting further and further out of their reach.

When Arteta was asked about not signing a striker in January due to their injury problems in attack, the Spaniard responded, “It’s not about that,” and then proceeded to walk off camera. Arteta had a conversation with Patrick Davison after the game, but he became increasingly frustrated as the game progressed.

Shortly after that, Gary Neville, a former captain of Manchester United and a pundit for Sky, discussed Arteta’s antics. He expressed his displeasure with the striker question, stating that it had been a popular topic of discussion throughout the season.

Eddie Nketiah was allowed to leave Arsenal for Crystal Palace during the summer, but the club did not sign a striker who could play in the striker position. Instead, they continued to play Kai Havertz in the middle of the pitch.

Despite the fact that they had brought in Raheem Sterling on loan from Chelsea, Arsenal found themselves in a striker crisis when Gabriel Jesus suffered an injury to his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and Havertz tore his hamstring while they were participating in a training camp in Dubai.

Despite the fact that Mikel Merino has been capable of filling in as an emergency forward and has achieved success at Leicester with a brace, Arsenal has been severely lacking in cutting edge because they do not have an elite striker.

As was to be expected, Arteta’s decision to withdraw from his post-match interview proved to be the topic of conversation on various social media platforms.

A supporter on X stated, “Arteta just left his post-match interview after being questioned about the 15-point gap.” Arteta was responding to the question. “It’s embarrassing.”

Someone else made the following observation: “Arteta just left the interview… Wow, he truly is enraged.

An additional contributor stated: “Arteta now storming out of interviews, Arne Slot has ruined his life.”

An additional individual wrote, “This post-match interview with Mikel Arteta.” My supervisor has completely lost his mind.
