Mikel Arteta reveals quadruple Arsenal injury blow ahead of Real Madrid Champions League tie

During Arsenal’s crucial Champions League match against Real Madrid the following week, it is possible that they will be missing FOUR key players.

Tuesday marked the beginning of Arsenal’s Premier League campaign, which they kicked off with a 2-1 victory over Fulham at the Emirates Stadium.

First, Mikel Merino, who was playing forward, scored the game’s first goal. Then, in the second half, Bukayo Saka, who had been absent for some time, scored a second goal to double his team’s lead. During the stoppage time, Rodrigo Muniz was able to reduce the deficit.

The Gunners were able to keep their slim hopes of winning the title alive, but the victory over Fulham came at a cost.

Gabriel left the game on a limp in the sixteenth minute, and Jurrien Timber was taken out of the game midway through the second half.

As Arsenal celebrated their victory, Mikel Arteta expressed his regret over the injuries sustained by Gabriel and Timber.

“The downside is Gabi and Jurrien,” he said in his press conference after the match’s conclusion. There is no way for us to predict how they will behave. In order to gain a better understanding of how we are doing with those two, we will be evaluating them tomorrow.

“There are two players on this team who never want to come off, and it’s pretty likely that those two players are the ones who do it.” This was something that Gabi felt in his hamstring. The game had just begun, and Jurrien was already having a difficult time. Even though he was able to continue, there came a time when he was unable to.

Riccardo Calafiori and Ben White, who has suffered a new injury, could not play for Arsenal because they were already without them. His knee injury has caused him to be sidelined, and Arteta has provided the following explanation: “It was something on his knee.”

Due to a knee injury, Calafiori was unable to play in Italy’s subsequent match and was forced to leave the game against Germany late in the game.

An additional statement made by Arteta was as follows: “You can imagine [how I feel] with those four players in the defensive line in just one week: Calafiori, Ben White, Jurrien, and Gabriel Magalhaes.” In addition to that, we have four more individuals who are so incredibly willing that they will carry out their duties.

The first leg of Arsenal’s Champions League quarterfinal match against Real will take place on April 8 at Arsenal’s home stadium. On Saturday, Arsenal will travel to Goodison Park to challenge Everton.

On April 16th, the second leg is scheduled to take place.
