Mikel Arteta offers update after Kai Havertz left pouring with blood from head injury

Arsenal suffered their first Champions League loss of the season on Wednesday evening when they were defeated by Inter Milan. Things went from bad to worse for Mikel Arteta in the last minutes of the match when Kai Havertz appeared to have had a terrible illness.

As a result of a horrific accident that occurred during Arsenal’s match versus Inter Milan, Kai Havertz was left drenched in blood.

The Gunners have selected the German attacker to be a part of their starting eleven for their match at the legendary San Siro. In the Champions League, the North London team suffered their first loss of the season, which was a difficult evening for them to overcome.

Mikel Merino was controversially penalized for a handball, and Hakan Calhanoglu, a prominent player for Inter, scored the penalty kick that resulted from the incident. To make it even more difficult for Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, one of his players was taken out of the game with what appeared to be a terrible injury.

During the last seconds of the game, Havertz was engaged in a serious collision with Yann Bisseck, a defender for Inter. Because of the head-on collision, both of them needed medical attention.

When blood began to come out of his skull, the Arsenal player looked like he was in a terrible situation. Yann Sommer, the goalie for Inter, quickly summoned the professional medical team from Arsenal to the field of play.

Havertz went off the field drenched in blood after receiving treatment for a few minutes with the medical staff. Following his treatment of the German, Arsenal physiotherapist Simon Murphy was also found to have a significant blood mark on his clothing.

An update was provided by Arteta, who stated, “Kai Havertz suffered a significant cut, and we are hopeful that he will be fine for the weekend.” The departure of Havertz will undoubtedly cause concern for the manager of Arsenal. A strong start to the season had been experienced by the 25-year-old player, who had participated in 15 matches across all competitions and scored seven goals.

He would have been eager to add to that record this weekend, when Arsenal will be playing Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, which is his previous club. He would have been eager to add to that record. Despite the fact that there was some cause for concern over Havertz’s physical condition, Arsenal’s performance against Inter Milan was somewhat encouraging. When the game was in its latter stages in Italy, Captain Martin Odegaard came on as a substitute for the forward. This was his first appearance since August. As a result of his return to training following an ankle injury, the Norwegian was selected to sit on the bench for the match against Inter.

Before the game, Arteta made the following statement: “The good news is that it’s wonderful to have Martin back into the lineup.” It is the first time that he has trained with us, and this is the first complete session. Because he wanted to be with the team, we will make a decision on whether or not to employ him tomorrow; but, the fact that he traveled with us and is a member of the team is a significant step in the right direction. He felt fantastic, and it was a little earlier than we had anticipated.

A further player who might not be able to participate in the game this weekend is Declan Rice. An injury was sustained by the England star while playing against Newcastle.

Regarding Rice, Arteta stated further, “Unfortunately, Declan has sustained an injury while playing against Newcastle.” He was able to finish the game, but he hasn’t been feeling well over the past few days, so we need to evaluate him on Thursday to see whether or not he will be able to play over the weekend.
