Mikel Arteta has told Arsenal player that he’ll never play for the club again

European clubs have submitted their Champions League squads for the season, and no alterations are permitted until January. Arsenal, which has returned to the competition for the second year in a row, is aiming to improve on last season’s quarterfinal exit.

Mikel Arteta has included all of his important players in Arsenal’s Champions League roster, but one unexpected name stands out: Kieran Tierney. Many fans were surprised by Tierney’s inclusion, given he had been told he was not in Arsenal’s plans and was expected to leave during the summer transfer window.

Despite failing to gain a transfer away from the Emirates, Tierney remains in the squad, albeit recovering from an injury. According to Football Scotland, his participation may imply that Arsenal is giving him another chance to show himself this season. This decision signals that Tierney may yet play a role in Arsenal’s campaign once he is fully fit.

Opinion

Tierney could be useful to us if we suffer numerous injuries during the season, so we can continue to use him.
