during his remarks to Kevin De Bruyne during his final Manchester City game at the Etihad Stadium, Micah Richards was informed, “You can’t do that.”
De Bruyne led City to a 3-1 victory over Bournemouth at the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday night.
Daniel Jebbison scored for the visitors, while Omar Marmoush, Bernardo Silva, and Nico Gonzalez were on the scoresheet.
City is therefore just a hair’s breadth away from guaranteeing a spot in the Champions League for the upcoming season.
De Bruyne, who is departing the team at the end of the season, was the topic of conversation leading up to the game.
Gonzalez took De Bruyne’s place after he played 69 minutes.
The Belgian wasted a close-range attempt to cap off his final City home game, but he could have and arguably should have.
Immediately following the final whistle, De Bruyne was talking to Jamie Redknapp and former City defender Richards about his stunning miss.
“Talking about fun, we got to talk about your chance,” Richards started.
“No, you can’t do that, Micah!” Redknapp joked at this point.
“Kevin knows how much I love him,” Richards continued.
“I said I just have to be there, it’s going to come,” was De Bruyne’s candid response. It’s awful. There are no justifications. Today, my son is going to be really hard on me. The exchange is seen below.

“A little strange,” De Bruyne responded when asked how he felt about playing his final City home game. I’m not sure. I have been here for ten years, and it has been incredible. I don’t know, it’s been an incredible experience, a complete strain.
“I want to have fun, play offensive football, and make people happy. That’s what I do on the pitch. I believe that during the ten years, we had a great time. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. It was a pleasure to put in a lot of effort and produce something for this club that improved it significantly. I’m really proud.
